The Male Bedpan, often referred to as a "Male B" model, is an essential piece of medical holloware designed to provide a safe and dignified toileting solution for male patients who are bedridden. Unlike a male urinal, this bedpan is a versatile tool for both urination and defecation. Its contoured design is tailored to fit the male anatomy, providing a secure and comfortable fit while minimizing the risk of spillage.
 
How to Use the Product:
 
Preparation: Explain the procedure to the patient and ensure their privacy. Wear gloves and place a protective pad under the patient to protect the bed linens.
Positioning the Patient: If the patient is able to assist, ask them to bend their knees and lift their hips. If they cannot, gently roll the patient onto their side, away from you.
Placement: While the patient is on their side, place the bedpan firmly against their buttocks, ensuring the contoured front is correctly positioned. Gently roll them back onto the bedpan, ensuring they are positioned securely.
Assistance & Removal: Once the patient is finished, assist with cleaning as needed. Roll the patient to the side again, holding the bedpan with one hand to prevent spills, and carefully slide it out from under them.
Cleaning: Empty the contents into a toilet and then clean and sanitize the bedpan thoroughly with hot water and a disinfectant solution.
